Cobb Resources

The most authoritative site I've found for the Cobb family is the "Cobb and Cobbs" surname research website.  It is a cooperative effort by a number of researchers and documents many known -- and unrelated -- family trees with the Cobb or Cobbs surname. 

If you go there, look for the branch that originated in America with Joseph Cobb of Isle of Wight County, Virginia.  He was the first of our branch to hit American shores.  His page (Joseph Cobbs Sr) includes a brief history of the Cobb family prior to him.  Scroll the page down to see it.
