  • During the 2003 race season, Bill competed in AHRMA's national and region dirt track and motocross series, and finished the season in:

    • 3rd place in the Sportsman 750 class of the National Classic MotorCycle / Metro Racing Dirt Track Series (riders of all ages)

    • 5th place in the Super Senior class of the National Classic MotorCycle / Metro Racing Dirt Track Series (riders in their 60's)

    • 1st place in the Sportsman 750 class of the Southeast Region Dirt Track Series (riders of all ages)

    • 1st place in the Super Senior class of the Southeast Region Dirt Track Series (riders in their 60's)

    • 2nd place in the Southeast Region Pro-Flo Motocross 60+ Intermediate class

  • Dirt track racing is Bill's favorite form of motorcycle racing; he campaigned a '72 Yamaha XS750 in the 2003 series. He rides motocross whenever he can to stay in shape and enjoy the many good friends he has developed in the motocross community. He rides a '74 CZ 400 in motocross events.

  • The "best part" of his dirt track season was a third place finish in a national event on the famous (at least to motorcycle racers) mile track at Springfield, Illinois.

  • The "best part" of his motocross season was a third place finish in a national event at Monster Mountain, Alabama.
