Thanksgiving 2005

Our branch of the family has a lot to be thankful for this year.  Our health is good, we're fully employed, our families are intact, and our lives are fulfilling.  We hope you are as fortunate.

Our Thanksgiving celebration began with a Christmas Tree decorating party at Jan & Bill's in Sandy Springs.  Jan has wanted to do this for many years, but it always seemed to get pushed aside by the more traditional Thanksgiving holiday activities.  This year, she decided to just do it.  James & Gretchen were in from their temporary Shreveport, LA home; John & Sharon's family was available, and Julie was taking a week of vacation recovering from a Tonsillectomy.

Wednesday night, we all -- plus Chace, Abby, Danny, Clyde, Jessee, and Paddy -- convened in Sandy Springs (officially a city as of December 1) for a gourmet dinner, tree decorating, and lots of good company.

The pictures tell the story better than words -- enjoy.

Thursday we're celebrating Thanksgiving Day with a family dinner at John & Sharon's.

PS  James and Gretchen are excited that their stay in Shreveport is almost over.  The U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has announced that it will reopen operations in New Orleans on January 9, 2006.  They will move from Shreveport to New Orleans in mid-January..
