Washington DC, September 1974

Jan picked me up at the airport in a hard rainstorm in her jaunty Datsun 1600, equipped with an open bottle of vino.  Hmmm, my kinda babe!  I came dressed for the concert so after we figured where in the car to put my luggage we headed across the river from Washington National to the Kennedy Center for the Felix Grant Salute.

Between concerts and sports events, we spent the rest of weekend touring Washington (and Maryland).  Gee, I could've sworn she told me she was a quiet little Washington girl who led a dull life!

By Sunday afternoon, we needed some quiet time.  A small park across the river from the Jefferson Memorial was perfect.

Somehow, I knew I was in trouble after this weekend.  You're doomed when you take pictures like this after the second date (... well, it was a long date).

Wonder how John (age 6) is going to react to this development?
