Gretchen has for quite some time used her artistic skills to create beautiful pieces of art for family and friends.  Of late, she has realized that there might be broader interest in and market for her work.

The short-term nature of their stay in New Orleans is providing a great opportunity to market-test her business concept while she awaits news on her graduate school applications.  It also fits nicely with her volunteer classroom and tutoring activities.
