The KSA Bridge Group gathered at Fernando & Carol's Lake Oconee home for a weekend of visiting and bridge. The weekend started Thursday night with a great dinner at Cuscowilla Golf Resort's Waterside Restaurant.
We hoisted a toast to Jo Ann, who was unable to join us due to a medical emergency. John and Jo Ann, we miss you. They spent the weekend in an Athens medical facility instead of with us. Fortunately all is well and they were able to return to their Brentwood TN home Monday.
Bridge play began Friday morning.
Fernando introduced Ken and Frank to Modern Portfolio Theory during a break.
An unusual draw for the deal -- A - K of hearts and A - K of diamonds.
Carol's neighbor brought over a container of marvelous homemade peach ice cream. It did not last long!!
Bill handled the Awards Ceremony MC duties in the absence of Bridge Chairman John.
... and awarded himself the last place trophy -- an instructional book on bridge. Study hard Bill -- the competition in Montreal will be tough!
Carol was second in bridge points ...
... and Viv was first. Congratulations Viv and Carol!!
The group reviewed travel plans for our next bridge outing in Montreal in early October. Most are driving and making sightseeing stops along the way.
Many thanks to Carol and Fernando for hosting our weekend.
