Julie and Dan, congratulations on the arrival of Izabella Joan Fields!
For the rest of us, she arrived April 4th at 6:39am at Piedmont Hospital in downtown Atlanta. She weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.
Julie, Dan, and Izabella are all doing fine. Izabella spent the morning entertaining family members. She is a cute girl, quite laid back, enjoys her sleep, and loves her Mom and Dad. Dan sorted out the vagaries of diaper changing (with coaching from Julie and Grandma Jan) while Julie and her nursing team worked on convincing Izabella that nursing is a good thing. She (Izabella) is getting the hang of it but for the time being would rather sleep than nurse. We are waiting to find out whether that is true in the wee hours of the morning.
